- Dr. Michelle McMurry Heath, President and CEO of the national Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), will offer keynote remarks on the state of the life science industries and what the future holds.
- New technology is revolutionizing cancer screening and early detection. Matt Sturm with GRAIL Bio will discuss this transformative innovation and Dr. Hannah Hazard-Jenkins, Director of the WVU Cancer Institute, will highlight the plight of cancer in West Virginia and what’s being done to combat it.

- SBIR/STTR awards have increased dramatically in West Virginia over the past two years due to the establishment of a state matching grant program and aggressive education and outreach. Representatives from the FAST Grant Program and WV SBDC In-Tech Program will discuss these tremendous results while Dr. Michael Norton with Parabon NanoLabs highlights the value of SBIR/STTR’s to researchers and growing companies.
- And entrepreneurs from Cabell County-based life science and medical device companies will showcase their innovative products and services.
