The Bioscience Association of West Virginia, in conjunction with West Virginia Jobs Investment Trust, TechConnect West Virginia, INNOVA and WVU Health Sciences’ Innovation Center, will be hosting a business accelerator bootcamp for early stage to mature companies operating in the life science and high technology fields in West Virginia.
The bootcamp event will be Wednesday, April 26 at the WVU Health Sciences Innovation Center on the Evansdale Campus in Morgantown, W.Va.! The event is designed for researchers, entrepreneurs, growth-focused small businesses, product designers, economic developers, funders and others. This is a unique opportunity to hear from experts and specialists who will share information on intellectual property, capital formation, business organization and start-up marketing.
The bootcamp’s sessions will provide attendees will information and insights on:
- Corporate Structure
- Raising Capital
- Giving an Effective Pitch for Funding
- Intellectual Property Strategies
The day’s format begins with a general overview of each of the main modules (45 minutes apiece). Then there will be four breakout groups covering the individual issues in depth and in a casual format intended to allow for questions. This will enable participants to sit in on the four breakout sessions.
